Austin Reliability Labs (ARL) recently designed a custom vibration test, combining our expertise in mechanical, environmental and additive manufacturing testing to help a client during the product development process. ARL devised this test for a 3D printed auto part printed using three different materials and techniques. After printing, our team submerged each part in chemicals and vibrated them to simulate a lifetime of driving. This allowed the client to assess how the part would stand up to environmental stress. With the test complete, the client knew which material and process to bring into full-scale production.
